DESCRIPTION

Stronvar House on the shores of Loch Voil. Historic Mansion sleeps 12 in grand and spacious self-catering vacation rental accommodation in the mountains of central Scotland. Good touring base convenient for Edinburgh, Glasgow and 30 Golf Courses. A family and friends gathering and holiday place.
Each of the five bedrooms has a trouser press, hair dryer, television, clock radio with alarm, bathroom, (Robertson room has a shower room). Baths also have shower attachments. Dual voltage shaver points. All rooms have views over gardens and mountains.
All towels and linens are provided and new supply is provided each week. Hot water and electricity included in the price. Cot and high chair provided.
Dining Room has breakfast bar with coffee machine and toasters. It has an electric organ. Large picture windows with a view. Dining tables with ample seating.
The adjoining kitchen is fully equipped plus washing machine and tumbledrier in the attached north tower. Cooker has two ovens/grill and hobs. Refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, pots pans and crockery, glasses etc.
Drawing room has bar and "Pianola" player piano with music rolls. Bay windows with views over the garden and mountains. Ample comfortable seating.
Entrance hall and inner hall is decorated with tartan drapes over the staircases and antiques, memorabilia and curios displayed in glass cases on the walls.
Total floor area of property is approximately 1,000 square metres.
Private and secluded gardens and access to mountains, loch and glen.

30 Golf Courses within area for a day's golf.
Pony trekking and Watersports.
Hillwalking and mountains to climb.
Fishing (Our Loch Voil and many others)
Theatre and cinema and major shopping in Stirling (30 miles - 45km)
A comprehensive up to date file is always kept in the house together with games and jigsaws.
There are many pubs with excellent beer in local villages.
Glasgow and Edinburgh are easily accessible by Trains from Stirling.
There is no public transport from Stronvar so cars are essential .
Local Village shops (Strathyre and Lochearnhead both with post offices) are excellent for all general groceries (And local gossip and advice!) Callander 12 miles (16km) away has two supermarkets.
Churches:Balquhidder is Presbyterian, Lochearnhead is Episcopalian and there is also Roman Catholic in Callander and all are very welcoming.
Sports centre with swimming pool at Callander. Tennis in Strathyre. Our garden is secluded and there is free access to all the countryside and mountains.
